I finally got some new bookcases for my office and quickly realized I had no idea how to decorate them! So to Pinterest I went to get some inspiration! Here are my favorites: I love the gold frames, blue vases and old magazines! I learned several things after doing some research and trying to come up with ideas. One trick is to turn books the other way if you don't have several of the same color. This way they match! Use old magazines or take the book cover off old books. They are generally a nicer color that the cover anyway! Stacking books at different heights and adding small nicknacks, frames, or collectibles to add texture & layers. This would be nice for the corner of a bedroom or office! Another trick is to either paint the back of the bookcase or cover it with fabric. I love this look! She turned the books backwards in this one and added lots of textures & layers! Love it! You can also cover books with matching wrapping paper or matching fabrics! this on
